I cut my antenna to be 1/2" taller than my truck. Now I know that if my antenna doesn't clear something, it's time to backup. On the other hand, if the antenna makes it, my truck will too.

I haven't noticed any difference in radio reception, even with the weaker stations.

Haven't noticed any loss in reception and no more "TWANG" going into the garage!

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought about that. I think I may give myself a little more than a half inch though

Might run over a large gravel and scrape the top
