Hot Borla Exhaust

I got my borla exhaust this morning and started the install about 230 today in 93 degree weather...Damn it was the hottest thing I have ever done.

I am very pleased with the final results, great sound no drown in cab, no wind noise in pipes...Just as others have said.

If anyone has a fear of a crappy exhaust, fear not the borla is a great exhaust.

Thanks to everyone on here that suggested the borla.

Looks great! Do your pipes hit the bumper? I kept mine a little lower so that it wouldn't hit.

That is hard work for 90+ weather. I know I sweated a few buckets.

BTW, I didn't know the 04's came in General Lee Orange. The second picture looks like it . Funny what lighting will do. Just messin'.

The older the Borla system gets, the better it keeps sounding...

Nice job there! Now beat that heat with a coldy for a job well done!

The Borla only works on the supercab (2 door + suicide rear) vs. sueprcrew (4 full doors), correct?

Borla can go on all makes of the truck I believe. Maybe not the 4.6 but dont quote me on that. Grayflare posts some good info in this thread: https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...ers+with+Borla

I got mine installed last friday, waiting to get access to a camera so I can update my gallery!

The borla comes with two inlet pipes. One is for the Screw and the other is for the scab and I think the regular cab:

One pipe before the muffler is for the SCAB with a 6.5 and 5.5 beds. The other is for SCREW only.

Zoltan,

So far the pipes have not hit the bumper, I have them pretty close though so I may have to drop them down a touch.

My legs are general lee orange too now where the sun hit on them while they were sticking out from under the truck.

Looked on eBay, did not see one up for sale. Any good place on the net to just buy from at a decent price that anyone knows of?

www.socalmotorsports.com. Ask for John. From what I am seeing from other guys on here, the price has come down by about $40 from what I paid, $554 including shipping.

Forgive me if this has already been asked before. Does the Borla dual exhaust split rear system require that the spare tire be removed? I know the Gibson catback requires the tire to be moved.

If not, then I think Borla is the answer I'm looking for.

I found the following on ebay:

It's actually from SoCalMotorsports. I bought mine from them via ebay about six months ago.

You can also just contact John directly ... he may or may not give you a better price.

Pics of mine are in my gallery ... as well as a sound bite.

Question

Will Modifying the exhaust effect the warranty? Also here in California we require smog devises on all new vehicles and with the change is the catalytic converter still on the truck?

The borla is a cat back system, so the converter stays. I wouldnt imagine that the exhaust would effect the warranty
