No vibration

I now have 3400 miles on my 04 screw. I have had absolutely no shimmy or vibration issues. The truck was built in Kansas City and drives like it is riding on glass. On the highway it is quieter and smoother than my previous 02 Acura MDX (which I happily ditched due to many aggravating issues to get an 04 F150!). On a rough road bed, it feels like a truck, which I like. This stiff framed ride has a twitchy ride on rough roads, but I accept that given the tight, strong frame.

Purchased Hardy Ford Dallas GA
4x4
Arizona Biege/Black Leather Interior
3.73 LS
Audiophile 6 Disc Changer
Platform Running Boards
Skid Plates
Power Moonroof
Power Sliding Rear Window
Trailer Tow Pkg
Reverse Sensing
Captains Chairs
Power Heated Driver/Pass Seats
$40,840 List incl FDAF
$35,983 purchase (no plans, excl tax)

Sweet!! Welcome to the board Rudy!

I just past the 3k mark and every mile was great. I dropped off the little lady's bimmer at the dealer this morning for service and got a X3 3.0 for a loaner. Friggen fast and smooth, but my F-150 is actually smoother & MUCH quieter than the X3! I know, apple to oranges, but I expected the bimmer to be quieter at least. I know the ride would be harsh, as I could take corners at ludicrous speed....

Can't wait to get my truck back (LL has it today )!!

I also have a “perfect truck”, no problems whatsoever. My build date was 9-03 at the Kansas City plant, and I’ve been enjoying my “perfect truck” since 10-24-03. Got about 9,400 perfect miles on her now.

Good Luck with yours and Enjoy!

Could this be the new trend? Happy F150 owners?

I suspect the majority of 04 f150 owners are very happy with their trucks. However, because it is human nature to take the time to make displeasure known to all. And given the immediate and wide audience that these websites provide, everybody will know about these problems that would otherwise have had to learn of them by word of mouth or thru the written press. It makes it appear to be a bigger problem than it is when looked at without the benefit of knowing how many trucks are not having issues.

If the silent majority made their experiences with the new 04 f150 known, I think the site would be overwhelmed by the positive response.

The bottom line is that this site is very helpful for those having problems by being able to draw from the experiences of the vast audience that might could offer a solution. Most of us who are not having problems just havn't bothered to put it in a thread. I guess it's because we are so busy out on the road enjoying our trucks?
