Lower Grill Insert

While checking out Ebay, I came across this lower grill insert. Anyone bought one yet?

where did you get your lower honeycomb grille? i was looking for the exact thing, except in the beige color for my Lariat. Also, how much was yours?

asinatra,

Please show us a full frontal of your setup. I have been thinking about pullling out my honeycomb and painting it black

If I remember correctly from an old thread, I think he said he made it from an old 150 honeycomb grill.

Received it yesterday, installs easily, looks great but it is not worth $54, maybe $19.95. It is just a simple piece of plastic.

At $54 that's nearly half of the $97 a Street Scene lower Speed Grill costs, but at least it's chromed aluminum, matches the main SS grill, and protects the power steering oil radiator from debris. What the hey? It's only money.

Hey playdeep, how much was the shipping on that grill? I have emailed the guy twice but no reply. Also, how did you pay? Sending a money order or cashier's check is a huge inconvenience. Get with the times guys.
I would buy it from someone else if there was someone else.

I like the honeycomb bar look on my FX4 and this is the only aftermarket honeycomb lower grill I have seen.

I'm not sure how the lower grill insert would protect the power steering radiator. Mine is completely exposed beneath the truck.

I can see how it would protect the transmission cooler though.

Shipping was $8.00, I got it from Ebay. The listing says only check or money order but they do accept paypal, it just doesn't show it until you go to pay for the auction. Shipping was incredibly fast.

Grim...maybe Kansas City reversed our tranny/power steering radiators. When I trace the oil lines, those from the radiator under the vehicle go to the tranny and the lines from the radiator behind the bumper/valence go to the power steering pump.
