Just below the 'accordian' section of the induction intake tube, there is a vacant mounting plate attached to the driver's side wheel well (in the engine bay). I can't imagine any option that attaches to it nor can I figure any future use Ford has anticipated for it. Any ideas?

 

Disregard the above post...on second thought I figured out that the mount must have something to do with securing the air filter on a 4.6 engine vis-a-vis my 5.4.
