Unhappy Whine continues

Well, I've been driving mine with the whine continuing for about the last 10,000 miles, and it doesn't seem to be getting too much worse, still only hear it in the 50-52 mph range, although it seems to have gotten maybe a little louder. I've been watching comments on this board, hoping that Ford will release a new "foolproof" fix for this problem, although to date it seems a complete rear end swap has been the only true fix.

I'm contemplating taking it back in and pushing the issue for a complete rear end change.

I seem to get a nasty whining noise once I hit maybe 75 or more on the highway. Oddly enough, this whining noise seems to be coming from the passenger seat area...where my wife usually sits At lower speeds (closer to the suggested/posted speed limit), the whine stops. Hmmm....

I’ve been hearing a terrible “Whining Noise” coming from the left side lately. It started up near the end of the first week of this month.

left side...is it coming from up front? If so, check to make sure that the stock air filter/intake assembly is properly attatched to the vent in the left front fender. Try a search on this subject if it sounds like where your whine is coming from...

I notice a "whining" noise coming from the passenger seat area sometimes.....only when my wife is riding in the truck with me.
