Cool New Mod.. What do you think (added lights)

I drew up this light bar and took my drawing down to the local muffler shop.. ended up costing me a total of 30 dollars to have it made. It's very sturdy, I can stand on it. I'll be adding lights later on. Some ProComp slimline lights will work nice I think. Anyway, let me know what you guys think and if you want the drawing I can scan it in and e'mail it to you. Oh yeah.. this is my first time setting up a gallery and stuff so please let me know if I even did it right LOL...

Thanks
Casey

Caseyh46, I really like the light bar a lot would you be interested in making me one and shipping it?? i will pay ya 50 bucks plus shipping. i would make it myself but considering that there is a definate lack of auto shops in hilton head it would be about impossible to get it done here. email me if you are interested Tsmith2002@aol.com

It is cool right now, but it would be cooler if it was bent up to allow a full view of the license plate, you know what i mean?

Yeah... but considering my limited technical knoweledge and the compound curves that would be alot more work than I was interested in. plus it only leaves 20 inches in the front to put lights on and I didn't want to take up valuable space... but thanks for all the great comments...

Nice light bar, just a curious question about the second photo, what is the function of that bar? Welcome to the site.

Also, what did you mount it too and did the muffler shop weld the brackets on it to mount as well?

The function of the bar is to hold lights and fill in that hole between the bumper and the upper? bumper plastic. It's not load bearing or anything like that. I had the muffler weld the tubing to a flat piece of 31" steel. There are already holes in the frame so all I had to do was mark it and drill holes in the steel and bolt it up.

very nice, and for $30 that can't be beat. a commercially made bar like that would probably cost you at least double if not triple what you paid. well done man.
