Question Limited slip shudder question

Got about 2400miles on my 04 Lariat sc 4x4 with limited slip. Just returned from vacation towing our camping trailer to the Sierras and now have the rear end shudder on tight turns. Is it simply tight and I don't have to do much about it or is it possibly a problem that should be dealt with sooner rather than later. We purchased the Ford extended warranty (7yrs) so I am not worried about for now. I use the truck for my contracting work daily and for towing on vacations. Shudder is annoying but not as bad as going to the dealer and leaving the truck for a few days!
Whatcha think guys?
Steve

If you have the shudder whilst turning with 4X4 enabled, that is normal. That's what I think.......

Dude, you hit the nail on the head about the dealer thing, leaving your trucks there really su*ks big time.

it's only a couple of hours to fix if it's diagnosed properly and they got the parts. I had the serv. dept test drive my rig, confirm the shudder, acknowledge the tsb on it and order the parts( that took about half an hour. ) Went back on the day of the appointment and had the truck back in just a couple of hours .
No overnight stay for my rig no bullcrap from the dealer, just a
quick solution too my trucks problem..... be pro active, let them know your aware of the tsb on the subject and insist they fix
quickly and properly, tell 'em what i do " that your time is not their time too waste ' good luck

Question - is this all the time....no matter what the outside temp is? I've only had mine since March and it wasn't really cold out (maybe around freezing a few times)....but I've only noticed a very slight shudder and almost always, only when it's cool/cold outside. Never happens when it's warm out. I guess I'll watch it this fall and winter when it gets cold to see what happens.

My shudder only happens when the truck is cold, it could be 50 or 80 degrees out, it still happens when the truck is cold, after a few minutes of driving, it seems the clutches warms up and it stops. Hard to drive to the dealership and show them when it stops doing it once the rear end warms.

That is a question i would like answered, For those with shudders, did it happen only from stop and only when the truck was cold, or all the time even after warming up the rear end?

mine was all the time only from a stop. I bought it in May so i haven't dealt with cold yet. It never did it from a start after the truck had been parked a while, only after i had driven a mile or so, then it did it about 1 out of every 4 stops, ' til i figured out how to drive it so it did it a lot less, i would take my foot off the brake and let it roll under it's own power about a foot or so then when i hit the gas it almost never did it. ( about 1 out of every 20 stops ) but i knew the problem was there so i had them fix it.
( too new to ignore if you know what i mean )
