Is it normal for our trucks to roll on hills with it in drive? Mine when backing out of the driveway(which is kinda steep)if you let off the gas the truck rolls forward. I've also noticed on some hills when at the light if I take my foot of the brake it'll roll backwards. Is this the way it should be?

All of them do it more or less. Think about it this way...it's easier on the tranny for it not to be pulling all the time at idle. Wouldn't matter anyway, but just a little easier. It's almost like having a slight stall converter in there Where you have to rev the engine before it engages drag racers use stall converters I think

No problem though...don't worry about it.

I think what you described is normal. The engine only idles around 5 to 6 hundred rpm, so the torque converter isn’t kicking in all the way at that low of RPM. Not sure, just a guess
