?300hp of 5.4 3valve
The SRT version, at 6.1 liters, produces 425 net horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque -
425 bhp (318 kW) @ 6000 rpm, (69.8 bhp/L)
420 lb.-ft. (569 N•m) @ 4800 rpm

Looks like Mopars going to do it to Ford again. Don't know what good a 6000rpm engine will be in a truck. Even ther max torque rpm is wild.

After all, a guy in an earlier post put an extra 600 pounds in his truck and then raced against a 2004 and the 2004 still lost....i dont get it....maybe someone can actually tell me why and not just give me a theory. thanks

And the drive by wire has NO faults. The lag was put in by design. It gives a smoother drive (especially off road where someone can abuse the throttle) and better mpg. On bumpy terrain, the truck wont surge forward from foot movement.

They've done that since the Roadrunner. They take their cheapest lightest body and put in a big engine and sell it as performance. The handling and stopping may not be up to par but they will sure go straight.

I am one happy camper I decided to buy the 4.6, money was never an issue I paid cash for the truck, its a proven reliable engine and has more than enough get up and go.... as much or more than I'll ever need. I guess I'm the kind of person that doesn't sweat it if the truck next to me on the freeway or anywhere has the ability to walk away when the driver mashes the throttle.... for me there's more to life than speed.. my 2 cents
All I have to say is I got my 5.4L Lariat for 24,000 and I priced out a Hemi equivalent to what is in my truck and it costs 34,000 so Ill take that 10,000 difference and put mods on my truck that will blow by a hemi any day any where
. You sometimes have to look at price to price comparisons and in my case, the hemi is pointless and over rated.

Gregeo I hope you're staying in the right hand lane on the interstate
my 2 cents was that this post is about the advertised hp not being there.

because that is what i was comparing the new f-150's too....
