Yeah, I'm waiting for the call to drive a test mule for a few months.

Wherever they end up spending the money, I'm sure there will still be a portion going to the F150... ensuring we have nice trucks for years to come.

Ditto on the Colorado/Canyon. My wife and I had one on order, and were really anticipating it. When we got to sit in one and took a look at the cheap interior, we cancled our order. Nice truck, but they really hosed up the interior. I was really disappointed with GM on that one. EVeryone I talked to agreed, even the dealer, the interior was just too Japaneese. Way to flimsy and plasticy. Great fit and finish, but cheap materials. Guess they were trying to copy the toyotas too much.
We got the F150 instead, but I still wish the Canyon had been better, would like to have the better fuel economy from the I5.

Maybe if they build a better interior, we will look at them again.

2005 is supposed to be Ford's "Year of the Car", their words.

They are coming out with the Freestyle crossover (Tall Wagon), Ford 500 (based on the Mazda 6 platform), and or course the new Ford Mustang! Also their warmed over Focus (not the full makeover Europe got).

The Ranger is getting a little long in the tooth, but It's still a solid player and one of the best (if not the best) compact selling truck out there.

Ford needs to make sure it can compete and sell in China! China is the fastest growing car market in the world, and expected to be the number 3 auto market soon if not already! GM and VW are already claiming a large chunk of that market, and Ford can really be hurt if they don't get in the act.

The only problem will be that your truck would idle at 6,000+ rpms sitting at the stoplight
And we are complaining about gasmilage now???....we would't be talking about mpg anymore it would be gpm... I would burn up a set of tires going to work every day....
