Lotta 04 150s in Town Now

When I got my 04 Screw back in October I must have had about the only one in town. I almost never saw another one on the streets. Now, nine months later, I see four or five other ones just about every day. My guess is, Ford is selling a lot of these things. BTW I'll bet I've seen a total of five or six Titans in that same period.

Well in my city I seem to drive right up next to another new f150 everyday. I still love driving next to another owner and look at their truck!

And for the titan, Ive seen 1 since oct when I bought my truck.

I park in a private lot of about 50 cars and have been since I got the truck (5 months). Well today sitting a few cars down is a brand new black F150 just like mine...guess I rubbed off on the guy. It must have been killing him the past couple months looking at mine everyday. Now there are officially two black F150s in this area (not many trucks in DC). My Black XLT Scab and his Black Lariat Screw. We are taking over!

Same thing here. Had the only one in town (small town of about 40000) back when I got it in October. I'd guess there are about 30 or so now and they all seem to wave when you drive by them (funny cause no one ever seems to wave around here).

Funny about the waving thing. I've got a neighbor, lives 5 houses down, and we've never waved or spoke to each other. He has two red F150's in his driveway (father and son trucks).

I passed him on the road the other day in MY Red F150 and he waved. Human Behavior is fascinating.

I to have started to notice a few more F150's driving around town lately. When these trucks came out, there was just me and another guy in town who had a black Lariat Scab. Fast forward a couple of months and I see 2 or 3 on a regular basis, as well as about 6 new ones in total. Its kind of funny getting compliments on your truck at a gas station and then seeing the same guy a week later driving a brand new 04

Since I got my new FX4 Supercrew back in September, my uncle got a new Lariat Supercrew, and my friend got a new Lariat Supercab. I seem to see 2-3 F150s everyday on the way to and from work. They are multiplying rapidly. Having one of the only new F150s around was good while it lasted.

My best moment like that was when I was followed for about 5 miles to advanced auto by this beat up old Camry. I thought I cut him off or something so when I pulled into Advanced Auto, I jumped out and was ready for a confrontation. The guy gets out of his car with this big smile on his face and says, "Damn I thought you would never stop! Thats one hell of a nice truck! I am getting mine in a couple more weeks and I think its almost the exact same."
He continues to ask me all about it, how I like it and then says goodbye and hops in his beater and drives off. Funny how this truck can do that. I cant wait to see the reactions once it is lifted. hehehe.

Yeah, here at my work we have 3 04's. They are all silver. 1-regular cab, 1- super (mine), 1-crew... funny.

But tomorrow when I pick mine up from the shop it will be the coolest with the rancho lift and 35s.

Same thing around here in South Jersey. I was just about the only person I ever saw with an '04. Then one or two would pop up here and there. But now I can't go two days without passing another one. Two of the most recent ones still have dealer tags, so they were just bought. One, all white XLT Screw, now resides in my neighborhood. So I'm no longer the only one there with an '04 F-150.

But much to my pleasure, I still have only seen one that is even close to mine as far as exterior looks. And that was one day when I was way out in no man's land.

The wave thing is correct too. Either a wave or a nod seems to happen between myself and other '04 owners. Complete strangers brought together by a truck. I had to explain this phenomenon to my dad and wife, because they had no idea why I was waving to a stranger. Do you ever wonder if you're waving to another member of this forum when you wave? I do.

I never noticed this bond when I had my Explorer. What makes the ownership of an F-150 so different? Or is it just the '04 F-150?

Maybe we should all badge our new trucks with a F150Online sticker of some sort (if its redesigned)

A guy at work was asking me about mine, telling me how it's the best one he's seen, etc...
So I tell him where I got it and what all options I got... so he goes to the dealership THAT DAY and talks to my salesman about ordering the exact same truck I have.
Good thing I got that billet grille or I wouldn't be able to tell the difference!

What a jack-***! I would never want the same exact truck as someone else that I see on a regular basis. I also wouldn't want someone to get the same one as me. Have some imagination and put some thought into it for cryin' out loud. Now you have to make sure yours is always cleaner than his.
