What's this dude doing with 2004 truck beds just laying around? Sounds shady to me.

Seems to me, if it were damaged enough to have to replace the bed on the truck it came from, then you don't want to buy the damaged one. Maybe I'm missing something.

 

This guy might be owner of an auto body shop that replaced the whole bed of someone's 150. He says the tailgate is brand new so I am guessing that the owner of the 150 got rear ended and decided to buy a whole brand new bed maybe?

I honestly wouldn't buy the bed.

 

The guy is doing smart advertising. Did they change the bed for 2005?! Not bloodly likely! So why wouldn't a '04 bed fit on an '05?! It like saying "Now carrying 2005 F-150 oil filters!". Whoopie Doo!

 

we sold 97 boxes in 97. we took them off our service trucks to put contractor boxes on.

 

He could be affiliated with a shop that installs those Reading beds many plumbers and A/C guys use. I would think though, if you were buying trucks with the intention of installing an alternate bed, you would order trucks from Ford without the factory bed.
Could be a scam, it wouldn’t be the first one perpetrated on Ebay!
