I upgraded to the 6disc indash, but not to the audiophile because I am going to use my own speakers. I haven't been able to find any clarification, but it seems as if the 6disc indash is the same as the audiophile head unit. The general manual for the truck says the unit should play mp3s. I have been encountering errors when I try mp3s, and am questioning whether it will play them. Has anyone else tried this?

The 6 disc player is NOT the same as the audiophile. The audiophile has RDS and other features that the standard 6 disc does not.
As far as MP3's go, I heard it's an option on the 2005, but am pretty sure it wasn't available on the 2004.
