Did your billit grill come with the Ford emblem or did you put it on? I took mine off the old grill and added it to the billit grill.
Same question here, 04REDLARIAT - did you take the emblem of the factory grill and stick it on the Carriageworks?

I really like the look of this better than the version with the cut-out for the emblem.

Notice the difference between these two grills?

I took my emblem off and added it. I was just wondering if they made a kit with it already. I like the look of the added emblem on top of the grill rather than the one with the grill around it.

kanter,

I like the look of yours and O4 RED LARIAT's : how did you get the factory emblem off and howo did you stick it back on?

And it looks like your grill replaces the factory grill - NOT a bolt-over, correct?

Thanks!

damn you guys now I have to add another thing to the long list of things I want to do to my truck but can't afford. Those do look nice, I like it with the Ford emblem put back on there. How much effort is involved with changing out the grill?

Question jdmclemore

Those two pic you posted of the Ford emblem on top and the cut out one, are both of those grill on top of the factory plastic?

The owners can verify, but I'm 99% sure that the top one is a replacement grill (meaning you have to remove the honeycomb insert and bolt in the billet grill) and the bottom one with the emblem cut-out is a bolt-over grill that bolts right over the factory grill.

The top tuck is a replacement with the logo double sided tape holding it on. The bottom is a bolt over with cutout for the emblem. You can tell by the plastic surrounding the grill between the billet and the outer shell. The cleanest look is replacement.

I don't care for the 6 piece bolt over, but have seen a few that love them. Carriage works offers these in Polished, Brushed and Black.

Don't want to bust your bubble but that is top dollar for the top grill. They go for $150 for top and bottom from e-bay, and slightly more from stylin concepts, etc.

As a matter of personal choice, I prefer the appearance of the Blue Oval on the grills as I did with my Street Scene grills.

Question to Sticker Steve...why was tape used to reposition the Blue Oval. Were the pins on the back of the OEM logo too short to fasten the logo on a billet grill?

Yes, the pins are too short to fit the bolt back on the badge. You can barley get them started with the speed nut backwards but then you have no way to tighten it as well as it would cause some scratches on the painted part of the grill insert where the nut would auger in.

suprpntr, It looks like lanceparkhurst has the black billet grill.

Do you like the black grille? Do you think it will hold up over the long term, won't chip, etc?
