Turn signal control dust boot - sneaking out.

Well, it's been about a month since we took delivery of our '04 Screw. It's also our first Ford. So what I'm wondering, is it an undocumented feature that every couple of times I use my turn signal, the rubber dust boot from the signal control lever going in to the steering wheel column, wiggles it's way out -- or could this be a slight design flaw? Or maybe it's just ours with it's own unique personality.

Mine does that too. Kind of annoying, really.

DAMMIT!

I haven't noticed (10,000 miles) but I'll look tonight. Little things like that annoy the hell out of me, so I am pretty sure mine isn't doing it. I'll post back tomorrow if mine is doing it.

Yeah, I've got that "feature" too. I only really notice it when I am detailing the inside. But I have caught it quite a few times.

Mine does that to. Several other guys I know that have the 04 does it also. Sounds like they all do.

I've had my lariat Screw for 8 months and 9,800 miles. I've had no instances of my turn signal boot coming out.
