Exhaust or Air intake

I just bought my Fx4 about a month ago. It needs some modification or something to give it a little more power. So my question is do I do exhaust or the air-intake.. The money comparison doesn't really matter, its that the truck doesn't have enough get up and go if you know what I mean..
One other Question, why is there a little pause in the throttle. Then when the truck starts going there's no power in the begining. I just think that with the hp and the tq ratings it should have it all when you mash the pedal like the other trucks..

Want power? Add both exaust and intake. I have the Volant intake and flowmaster 40 series single in dual out, and I LOVE IT.

Trust me, you will feel and hear it. Well worth the money, and yes, it turns heads.

As far as acceleration, mine is ok.... but others have the same concern you do...... its been the topic of discussion for awhile.

Yeah, as with everything, in order to feel the gain in power when putting either an exhaust or intake on, you need to do both at the same time. When you give the truck more air with an intake, and don't put an exhaust on it, it doesn't work well and can't push that extra air out through the restrictive exhaust. Vice versa for the exhaust, but when you put both on at the same time, then you'll really feel the difference, so I say save up and bye them both also.

I heard that some people had problems with the air-raid intake, so it would be either the air-force or the volant..
Beaver tricks, did you get the entire ram intake or just the box ?

I got the box and the tube thats it. I would highly recommend Volant. My brother-in-law has an 03 F150, had K&N and replaced it with Volant when he saw and drove mine.
