Sweet looking ride. What's up with the front license plate mounting? Commercial or passenger plates? NY DMV laws are so outdated! Grrr!

Looks great! Nice rims.

What is the deal with the front plate? It looks like it jambed up behind the fascia there. Any reason you didn't get the lower billet grill insert piece?

JMV - How do you like the toolbox you installed in the bed? Is it removable or bolted down permanently? Looks nice!

I love it. It's made by Deflectashield. I think I paid $199 at AutoZone. I bolted it, one on each side, through the bed rail. So it's more or less removable, just a few minutes to take out the bolt.

I spruced the box up a bit by adding some automotive black carpeting on the inside bottom, siliconed the inside perimeter of the lock/handle assembly on each side (it rattled slightly, plus now its waterproof), and added an extra layer of foam weatherstripping because the seal wasn't tight in some areas. On the highway in the winter I'd get snow tumbling around in the back and it would make its way up under the lid. Not anymore. I keep a bunch of emergency tools and gear back there, not one drop of moisture.

Plus it's nice and relatively low profile. I can still see the top of the tailgate in the rearview if I sit up straight.

thanks guys.

i don't have the 6" kit, just the 2.5" Autospring strut spacer. bad thing is, it rides a bit nose high. i have some pro comp blocks in my garage, i'm just waiting on my u-bolts to get here so i can put on the blocks.

also, the truck is a 2WD, but i've had a few FX4 guys ask me if it was a 4x4.

the tires are surprisingly quiet. if i turn down the radio and roll down the windows, it was a very soft hum, but with the windows up and stereo going, you don't hear a thing.

i am VERY pleased with the tires, they look great (IMO) have very little road noise, and have a great warranty behind them.

with my front license plate... the original bracket i had broke off, so i didn't have the plate on. then, i got a ticket for no front plate. so, i just made a make-shift bracket until i can figure out a way to mount it on the front, and still make it look clean.

Yeah, you can install a block in the rear to level it out to where you want it. Also, are those rims 17x8 or 17x9 and do you have any rubbing with the leveling kit?

the rims are 17x9 AE Series 186.

the only rubbing i have is when I am at full lock, and the tire rubs on the lower air dam. i'm going to solve that problem today, give my sawzall some action
