FYI:20" Centerlines:4 for 2

Not bad, 4 for the price of 2. These are pretty nice IMO. I am not into 20" wheels but a lot of people are.

You can get a set of 4 Centerline Lexi 20's for $1,100 directly from Centerline. At $1,344 for 4 it doesn't seem to me you are getting 4 for the price of 2. But still, either price is pretty good for a set of 20" wheels.

Has anyone purchased and installed any of these Centerline wheels on their new (04) F150? I've heard that the offset is not exactly right which causes the wheels and tires to stick outside the wheel wells......I've seen this posted on this site somewhere in the past. Don't know whether or not it's true.

I like the looks of these wheels and the price is reasonable but I'm hesitant as I don't want them to stick outside the wheel wells.

Any input/recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

They won't stick out...

I've had 275/55/20's and 285/50/20's as well as 295/60/16's and never has the tire extended past the wheel wells.

You don't have to worry about that, unless you go with a 20 x 10 inch wheel, or some 305mm or wider tires...

Anyone know where I can get a good deal on a set of 4 smaller rims to use for offroading....plan to put bigger tires, not bigger rims but I don't want to spend a lot of $.

Take a look at the Eagle Alloys. They have several 17 and 18 inch rims for the 04's 6x135mm bolt pattern. Their website is www.americaneaglewheel.com.

take a look at mickey thompson. looks like the just added two new sizes to fit our trucks, 17x9 & 18x10 in both styles. Looks like the backspacing is going to be 4 1/2". They're probably going to stick out a bit. I personally like the "roller skate" look.

It is helpful if you understand both backspacing AND offset, as these terms are both used to describe the relationship between wheel mounting and how far the wheels stick out from the hub. Offset is the measurment from the centerline of the wheel to the mating surface. Offset can be negative (-) or positive (+). Backspacing is the measurement from the inner edge of the wheel to the mating surface.

Sometimes you will be given one measurement and not the other; which is fine, as you can solve the equation with only one of the terms. The '04 F-150 measurements for all OEM (stock) wheels is: 7.5" wide with +44 mm offset. If you do the math to figure the OEM backspacing, the centerline of the wheel should measure 3.75" + 1.732" (offset converted from mm) = 5.482". When rounded, the numbers add up to the 5.5" OEM backspacing spec.

For a calculator that helps figure what the offset will be for different than OEM width wheels: click here.

For converting inches to millimeters: try this link.
