direct connect to battery? firewall access?
- 2004 F150 XLT SuperCab...
- i need to directly wire from the battery in order to power a high-frequency transceiver in the vehicle (coax run into the cab from a screwdriver antenna is another issue)...
- where's a good place to run the wires in through the firewall? (tapping off the fuse box or using the powerport is not a good idea, as i understand the powerport is only 20A, while i'll need up to 25A on keydown)
- thanks!

Look underneath the truck along the passenger side door sill near the front of the door. There is a hole with a rubber grommet in it. You can run the wire from the battery, down the back of the inner fenderwell, and up through this hole. Just pull up the plastic door sill strip and you will see it under the wiring harness. This is where I ran my power for my amp.
