K&N oil filter

Anyone switch to a k&n oil filter (HP-2010)? I like the idea of the 1" nut attached to the bottom of the filter. I guess you can just grab onto it with a standard 1" socket, no special filter tool req'd.

Yes, that's what's in the manual. I figured I would be a little wild and crazy and think outside the box. LOL!!

I'm not sure about the new filters but on my old 1995 F-150 351ci I switched to a framm filter and the readings on my oil pressure guage were really low. I switched back to the Ford filter and my readings went back to normal.

I have no idea if it may still be like that because since then I have always used the FORD stuff.

Question oil filter

Search “siphon oil filters” on this sight. You will find many explanations why some oil filters are not recommended for Ford.
