xm anten and carwash

xm anten and carwash

just a ? I have the xm anten on the top of my truck. will going through a carwash mess up the anten or my truck?

Highly doubt it. If its secured like it should be, its not going anywhere. Plus, they are low-profile - that helps tremendously.

If your antenna is attached with the 3M double sided tape like mine is (I have a Sirius Terk antenna) then you should have nothing to worry about. I take mine thru those automated carwashes every couple of weeks and never had a problem.

I had my antenna put on the dash right up by the windshield because I have garage door clearance issues. reception is still great. I got the super small black antenna, hardly noticeable, just a thought if you have any problems with it.

I have a 'first generation' TERK XM antenna on the top of my truck but, she's never been through a car wash... No worries of this sort with handwashing.

I have a Terk with a magnetic base. That thing doesn't move, it is SOLID!!
