Overhead rail picture with options.

Rambunctious had posted this on another site. I thought this was a pretty cool pic. It shows XM, DVD, and a Music Keg.

Adam

P.s. Thanks Ramb.

Really cool pic. I have an ancient question that has probably been answered oodles of times in the past. If you have a sunroof, do you still get the rail system? I know it'd only be about half as long...

RP,

The Rail System is not available with the moonroof. You've gotta decide which you like more (I know you really like your moonroof).

Looks like a Town & Country. Dodge steals the rail system idea from Ford.

I'm pretty sure nobody stole anybody's anything. It is Johnson controls that is pushing this venture to all the manufacturers. I would have to imagine that it would take quite a few of these rail setups out there to inspire these aftermarket and factory products for us to hang on them.

Problem I see with this whole getup is they are a little late in offering these high-tec options on the rail for us 2004 owners. Most of us that would put these options in our trucks want that stuff now and most of us have already done the upgrades without using the rail. Better luck for the 05 guy's, To little too late for me!

I was more curious why the bins towards the rear have those clip looking things hanging off the side. Are the bins that hold the electronics different than the stock bin that has the clean finished look?

sticker steve, you just beat me to the punch.

but the good news is that
1) our trucks are probably not for sale yet. we plan to keep them for a while. and
2) when new product become available, you can add them to the rail. With the exception of the wire harness stuff for the 04 which we are finishing up with Ford,....... we (fellow 04 owners, me included) can have these modules when the 05 guys get them too.

each OEM has a preference for thier latch. but we are also designing a common latch for some "generic" modules.
