just a quick question, if you order a new FX4 wheel lip molding, does it already come in the DSG (grey) color?

My rear one has a 6 inch long scratch/scuff in it that's been there since new, I'm going to ask my dealer about it. But if they say they want to paint it rather than replacing it, I don't want them to do that...

 

I am looking to purchase lip moulding myself, for my XLT, I am wondering that same question, if they are painted or do they have to be painted? So Bump.

 

If you got the wheel molding scratched, DO NOT let them paint it for you. It will come out half assed. Demand they replace it. I can't imagine why they would waste time painting a cheap plastic part when they could slap a new one on in 5 minutes.

edit-and yes, they only come in gray

ok, I just got an email back from Fordpartsnetwork.com and they do come in Grey. Their prices were around $95 each for the rear ones, and $65 each for the front lips.

Wakehead, what color is your truck? If you get these FX4 ones, they do have a "textured" grey finish. I think the Lariat lips are smooth if you want those, I'm not sure if they come already painted or not.

Mine are not painted, they are just the natural color of the plastic.
