New wheels and tires

I'm really happy with the wheels and tires I just purchased. I bought the MB Motoring Rocker 17x8 +25 offset which just came out and the BFG A/T K/O 285/70/17s. I had the Helo Rhino 20x9 (selling real cheap) with Toyo 275x60x20s. I think the 17s give the truck a more offroad look. The pics are in my gallery at dlrrlr. If someone can post a pic I would apppreciate it. I have failed miserably.

Your truck looks great. I just purchased some Weld Sidewinders 17x8 and totally agree with the 17" look great. I am having the daystar leveling kit installed and will be running Pro-comp 33 12.50 17 tires. I will post some pics next week.

bill

why did you go with a 17x8 rim for? and what type of pro comp are you going to run? I was just woundering I got sidewinder 17x10 for 200 each or 800 for all 4 and was thinking of going with pro comp 33x12.5x17 mud tires or maybe 35x12.5x17 if they will fit?? I have the skyjack witch is the same thing as the daystar.

I know that the a/t tires look wider then the mud and x tires do

Thanks 20044bill, those welds are going to look good. I almost went with an Eagle wheel that looks like the Weld, but just not the quality of the Weld. I found these wheels today along with the tires. I've had a hard time finding wheels for this truck and believe me I have looked, especially in the 17s or 18s. I got lucky today though and glad I found them.

the guys at 4 wheel parts recommended the 17x8 wheel, said it would be closer to stock with offset etc. I purchased the pro-comp All Terian tires due to ride, noise etc plus they have a 50k treadwear warranty. And my wife has been riding my you know what about spending money on Tires, wheels, stereos etc. Kind of a car junky and unfortunatley the truck is not the only expensive toy I have.......

Nice look! Do they stick out beyond the fender opening? The offset numbers are pretty far off from what is factory original.

No, they don't stick out at all. There are some pics in my gallery. I believe the factory offset is +44 offset with a 7.5 width. With the factory wheels and tires they are actually positioned inside the wheelwell about 2-2.5 inches. So to keep your tires from sticking out on a 8 inch wide wheel, a +20 to +25 would be the lowest positve offset I would go with.

Thanks for the info. I've been trying to figure out those numbers for some time now and you're the first to make it clear.
