Unhappy I give up!

Alright, looks like I am going to have to get a commuter car. Hell no I'm not getting rid of this truck , but I drive about a hundred miles a day five days a week and the gas mileage is killing me. The miles I am putting on aren't good either but I knew that before I bought the truck. I got it January 9 and have over 10000 miles on it already. I guess I will spending less time in this awesome truck. I'll still use it for playtime on the weekends and trips though!!

Anyone got a Yugo for sale?? Just kidding, I don't think I could fit in the thing anyway.

It would give me a heart attack but you could get an old civic or accord to tool around to and from work, they get like 30 to the gallon and they are dirt cheap. I know a lot of the guys at my old job did that just to save the miles on their baby. But they hated pulling up to trucks at lights in their toy car.

Wow, 10k miles since Jan. you do drive alot, i bought mine the same time and ive got about 2,800 miles on it. I don't blame you as far as the gas is concerned, id be driving the wifes accord, not likeing it, but driving it.
Don't have a yugo, but have you thought about either a pacer, gremlin or pinto?

I have already gotten the CRX out, and drive it three days a week. I really miss my truck on those three days, at least the CRX is a five speed SI model.

I feel your pain. I to commute a long way to work 120 miles a day and have now turned 12k on the odometer. My wife asked if I wanted a motorcycle to drive back and forth a couple of days a week, what can I say I have it good. Her cousin has a Yamaha
600 somthing she bought for me for $300. She already said if I like driving it I can get a Harley next year.

Thumbs up Miles right now!!!

Mileage at this time is about 3800 since October 2003, not that I'm bragging... I work from my house and do drive my truck every chance I get.... that's about 3 to 4 times a week maybe 15 miles tops each time... However I do plan on taking my vacation with it when the time comes if I'm still alive the way the world situation is... you never know.. GG

It was the best selling truck in America....then most discovered that they couldn't afford it!

Blame those dern SUV drivers. Us truck folk used to be a minority, now an SUV is basically a 4 door truck with a really really short bed and camper shell.

I think if the soccer moms of the world drove jetta wagons, our gas prices would be much lower.

on the other hand, perhaps finding another source of fuel like Hydrogen is better than trying to save the dwindling fossil fuel.

nah, down with the SUV!
