If you are happy with the 265's that would be a good way to go as well. I have had two sets of the Cooper A/T's. Very happy with them as well. One set went 55k, the other 60k. Nice riding, quiet tires. They did bang a little on road cracks and expansion joints...but I was also running 10 ply Load Range E tires.

I dont think you could go wrong with any Cooper tire. Excellent quality and looks for a good price. What they charge for BFG's and the Dueler Revo's is ridiculous.

I have 265/70/17 and like the size and ride...they are R/TS and poor in the rain...I don't like what I hear about them but I think the tire size is right for my Lariat...I would like to know if the Cooper A/T you showed in that picture are for sale in Canada ?? I need a quiet tire good in rain or snow...I don't off road...Thanks for all the info...Looking at getting something in the late fall...

I just paid 940.17 to have LT285-70r-17 BFG AllTerrain TA Ko put on my SuperCab 4x4. Went from the stock LT235-75R-17. They give the truck a firm ride with just a little more road noise but nothing too loud. The truck looks great and I think drives and feels like a truck. Well worth the money. These went on without a lift just fine.

Hope this is good enough to give you an idea.

Try this. I am new to the site so not sure if this will work.

Here's another 285 picture for you. I love the ride and the durability. Truck has been on many a hunting trip already mud, snow and gravel.

Some nice area you live in...The tires look super on that truck...Very nice...How quiet are they on the highway as to the stock ones you changed ?? Anymore cost in gas mileage to turn them ??...Did you just buy 4 or a 5th for the spare as well ?? in that price...

Did I tell you they really look cool ? they do...

ConcreteGuy

Just south of Lexington, Ky (Central Ky), They are barely more noticeble than the LT235-75-R17's (Han****'s) that I removed, Just put them on Fri. 5-21 and I have not filled up since then. I have been avg about 17 mpg with the 4.6 ltr. Going on a ATV trip sunday so maybe I will get a better idea if the mpg's have changed since I have not filled up the tank since the new BFG's ( only drive 16 miles a day to and from work ), only bought 4 but thinking hard about the 5th.

By the way I have visited Canada (Banff and Jasper National Parks to be exact) now that's beautiful country.

Thanks
Jeff

KY04...I like your house better than your truck... That's a beautiful spread. I'm looking for something similar. I love the openness. How many acres you got there? That rocks...

I don't know if you'll fit 285/70R17 on a 2wd F-150. As good as they look on 4wd's in this thread, they'll look stuffed on a 2wd, even if they do fit. Save your cash (or plastic) and get 265/70R17. Going from the highway tire to an all-terrain will make the biggest difference in how it looks. Going to 265/70 is about 1.5" larger diameter than stock.

FYI:

285/70R17 = 11.22" wide x 32.71" diameter
275/70R17 = 10.83" wide x 32.15" diameter
265/70R17 = 10.43" wide x 31.61" diameter

I was just quoted $673 for Toyo Open Country or $695 for Master Craft 6 ply tires both in the 265/70/17 size. How does one adjust the 2004 F150 speedometer to compensate for the change in tire size? Don't want to be "ticket bait" BB
