The actual cost of making a gallon of gas is pennies on the dollar per gallon in the US,but the Gov. is charging about 46 cent's of taxe's,plus 23 cent's in Tn,but im with Jaguar,this is getting out of control,how long can we keep letting the thing's that we have alway's taken for granted just start slipping away without a fight.You will see higher price's at the store's,for clothes,food,transportation,shipping,It's for sure the Gov. is not going to help so I guees it's up to us to do something.

 

I agree that letters could be effective, but I believe a direct hit to the big oil co. bottom line might get more reaction.

2 thoughts:

1) Only by gas from the litte guy. Boycot the big oil co. I belive that would be exon and shell. (Someone correct me if Im wrong)
This could start gas wars and drive the price down.

2) Only by gas from the stations. Avoid buying other items except for gas. The oil companies have gone to alot of expence to have nice shopping areas at the stations and automatiac car warshes. All of which increase their bottom line.

I doubt anything will bring back 1.00$ a gallon but I am only giving my busniess to places that are not tring to screw me every chance they get.

Gas only. I will stop buying Twinkies immediately and bring Exxon to it's knees.
