Updated Clutch Pack & Shim Kit 2nd Time

This is my second clutch pack that they have installed in my 2004 FX4 SCREW. I'm not sure if anyone else has had multiple problems with the rear end, but I'm fed up with it. My transmission is now on the fritz, lots of hesitation and sometimes feels like someone hits me in the rear end when it finally goes into gear. I wish I would have bought a diesel F250, Maybe next year.

I've only had it in once for the transmission problem and they couldn't duplicate the problem. The problem is that the transmission doesn't do it all the time. I guess I will have to let it break to get it fixed...

Me too!

Got mine back last week from getting new clutch packs, basically a rear-end re-build accoring to the tech, no shudder, but it slips then BAM, it catches, I'm getting pretty pissed.

Why don't they replace the whoe unit...rear-end. I am having some vibration problems rightnow..dealer will replace drive shaft and rear end once it comes in.

Rear end still feels like it missing then catching very strange? It doesn't do it all the time, and they never can seem to duplicate it! I'm just going to have to let it break and have it towed in if it ever does it. I feel your pain

Had my clutch packs replaced about a 1000 miles ago. It worked fine for about 500 miles. Now its worse than the first time.
