Question Need help with Rear ford emblem. 2004 Model.

I have a few questions on the rear emblem.
1.) Does that huge rear ford emblem use those line up posts that stick out the back of the emblem and go through a hole in the metal?
Also, same ? for side emblems.

2.) Has anyone found any type of replacement emblem? Maybe like a billet or stock looking with diff color? I found smaller ones but not for the 9" yet.

There has been someone selling the overlay decals for the Ford emblems on e-bay. They can make them in different colors. I dont know if they are still selling them though.

I heard you can contact the seller directly and obtain these emblems without going through the auction.

thanks.
I wouldnt mind a illuminated one, but i dont think they make them that big yet.

I work the truck pretty hard, and we have real harsh winters so a overlay is way out of the question. I would go for Billet with a color inlay.

I guess i am mostly interested in learning if the "f-150" badges have the posts that go into the body. I would ideally like to strip all the F-150 logos, I know what the héll i drive, i dont need to have this big ugly badge on there.

I am pretty sure the side ones have the little pegs that go into the body, but does the rear "f150" badge also have them?

Yes.

The Tailgate Badge includes 3 locator pins on the backside.

Yes...the rear badge DOES have pegs.

However I think you will find the decals more durable than you imagine.

I have had them since first available and no deterioration whatsoever.

Even if they did go bad on you they are so reasonably priced you could just get replacements.

The picture shows the grill badge but my rear badge is just the same.

Hmm. that could be a viable option then. Thanks for the input. They look great, plus my dash has carbon fiber look on it already.

I have the same and enjoy them. I live up here in MN and the winter was not harsh on them at all.

I have the decals on the front/back and the steering wheel.

(excuse the quality of pics - no professional here - but you get the idea.) The ebay guy will place whatever two colors you wish on there.

Fender badges also have locator pins to line them up and holes in the fender.

I believe the emblems I had were from the same seller.

In fact I have to admit to starting this whole thing off, since I think I was the first to use the decals and when I first posted a picture everyone seemed to like them and started to contact him.

I think it depends on the finish you ask for....mine were the carbon fiber look.

I just looked back in my records and I do have the E mail address that I used...if you need it send me an e mail and I'll let you know.
