With me it's just the gas milege (11.5 MPG for me). Beleive me I didn't expect this truck to be good on gs or anything and have a it gts what it gets type of ttitude. it's just that it seems as though I get the worse gas mileage of nyone who owns n 04 F150.

I have been having problems with driving up inclined roads and having the engine cut out at around 40-45 mph. Engine cuts out and knocks real bad a for a few seconds and then kicks back in and I am able to continue driving. It does this about every other day. Does it right after shifting up and at around 2000 rpm.

Also the other day I was just starting to drive down the driveway and the RPM's would flicker to 1000 and back to 500 and so on until I gave it a good surge on the gas pedal. Weird.
I'd go get it reflashed. We've had a couple of 5.4L's with simmilar complaints and a check engine light. It had a code for throttle pedal. OASIS shows a SSM for reflashing to fix the problem. It worked for both of these trucks so I'd recomend you try it.

My only Woe is that I didn't wait a couple of months until the factory DVD system was available to purchase my truck. I'm having serious doubts that Ford will be able to supply these as well as the required wiring harness before I have to make a 600 mile trip with two kids and no rear seat entertainment system.

Thumbs down

Crappy Fuel Door Mechanism. Door hangs out in the wind. Parts are on order, but don't know when I'll ever get them.
Driver's side doors rattle when going over studder type bumps on the highway. Just annoying.
Other than that the truck is great. 14.8 mpg in city traffic.
'04 SuperCab FX4.

Well I guess my only WOE is the vibration in my floorboards, and after they installed the dampner I think it's starting to get worse ,but that's all I have to complain about, right now.

I have a few woe's taking it in on monday. My truck has been great until I hit 15,000. It is now starting to drive really bouncy, Had a trailer hooked and i swear it was almost bouncing me off the road. my girlfriend was feeling carsick it was bouncing so hard. It wasn't the trailer because I use it with a different truck all the time. Then the other day I was coming up to a red traffic light I was braking then the light turned green before I reached it so I stepped back on the gas, the truck reved to about 3000 RPM's without any response then slammed really hard and started to go again. it has happened several times now. Anyone else had this happen? Hopefully they can get everyhing worked out. I am a FORDMAN so it doesn't really bother me. Just want it all fixed. Other than that I just want to get something worked out to be able to get a seatlift for the rear so I can stuff my sub under there. NO MORE WOES

I've been too busy to post very often, but I still check in ocasionally. There hasn't been much to post about the F-150 as its been pretty trouble free and there haven't been many changes yet. I'll post when the 05 order guides are available.

Woes:

- Scuffed painted bumper on day of pick-up (Fixed)
- Chipped driver's side door molding on day of pick-up (Fixed after six tries)
- Blew fuse (power driver's seat & pedals) on day of pick-up (Fixed)
- Service driver hit side mirror with another truck (Fixed)
- Big scratch and dent found on side of truck this past weekend (Getting estimate on Thursday)
- Steering wheel rubbing when wheel turned to 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions (Replaced steering rack, didn't work. Appears to have worked itself out for the time being. I think it's cold weather related.)
- Haven't been able to fully enjoy the vehicle yet, becuase it has not been 100% yet. Hopefully will be after the scratches and dent is fixed.

After 5 1/2 months and 11300 miles, here's what I've got.......

- Reverse Sensing System has been malfunctioning. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it beeps erratically when there's nothing behind me. I'm thinking it's sensitive to moisture as it's most unruly for a day or two after I wash it or after it rains.

- EACT won't stay in recirculation mode for more than 1 minute unless the A/C compressor is activated. With the A/C on, it will stay in recirc indefinitely. After reading about this in the owners manual, I understand that it may cancel recirc at any time in any mode. But 1 minute? Come on.....
Dealer replaced EACT head. New one does exactly the same thing.

- Occasional engine surging at parking lot speeds only immediately after restarting, hot or cold. The surging along with the slow throttle response are a sorry combo and are my least favorite thing about this truck. Dealer reflash did nothing to remedy either. I'm sure that there's some great advantage to drive-by-wire, but I can't see it. I think it blows.

- Truck is not as quiet and seems to be riding more harshly than when it was new. Maybe it's my imagination. Maybe it's not. Others have said the same.

Still, these complaints aside, it's by far the nicest truck I've owned or been in and I've been in a bunch.
