Question Amp Hook-up Help Please!!

I have installed my amp, but I am having problems with the turn-on lead. There is juice from the battery going to the amp, but there is no sound coming out of the speakers. I can only assume that I have the turn-on lead attached to the wrong wire. I tried attaching it to the Blue wire on the speaker harness as well as the light green/yellow wire. Nothing. I hooked the turn-on lead up to these two wires based on an old thread. Since I am using the stock radio I need to patch this wire into a 12V source. If I'm correct, the light green/yellow wire is for ignition/ACC and the blue is for start/ignition.

Also, the Alpine manual says to install a 3A in-line fuse if I patch into a 12V like the above stated method. Should I do this??

Help, I am so close, I can feel it.

BTW, I have the stock radio and a Alpine F340 amp.

Thanks Guys

I have the amp mounted under the rear seat. I have the ground connected to one of the bolts holding the the jack bracket down. I cleaned the paint off the metal also.

I would get a tester to make sure you are getting a solid ground from there and to verify your turn on wires, also what did you do for RCA's? did you get an adaptor?

p.s those power testers sell for $5 dollars at any autozone, they work great when you have to troubleshoot.

good luck
