My new arrival
Gentleman,
I finally took delivery of my new '04 F-150 XLT 4x4 on Monday, and am lovin' it. In anticipation of its arrivial I have been visiting this board for a couple months to see what I can expect and have learned a lot. I am a recovering Dodge-aholic and the change has been good thus far - it is difficult to even compare the two they are so different. (I had a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4). The biggest thing I have noticed is definately ride quality (excellent) and road noise (there isn't). The only thing I hear at ~55 MPH is the "swooshing" of the wind. Nice.
And rather than have every bump and depression in the road directly transferred to me and my passenger's rear ends (in the Dodge) the Ford suspension soaks up everything quite nicely.
My truck plays a large part in my job (traveling to and through various plants and mills) so I am anxious to see how the Ford holds up. Anyway, thanks for a great board and a great resource.

I am now at six months and six thousand miles with out any complaints. On Mother's day we'll start an approximately five thousand mile trip to Dayton, Oh and back. I hope you'll enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
