ProComp vs Ranch Lift???
ProComp vs Rancho Lift???
I had a 6" ProComp lift installed at the dealer and paid out the *** for it. I did so to keep my warranty. Toomany horror stories about voided tranny warranties, etc..
How does the Rancho lift compare against the ProComp from a performance standpoint. Actually I off-road very rarely and got it for the occassional wild hair when in the desert.
Also, do after maket lifts void warranty if not installed by a dealer?

I spoke with my dealer about a lift and they said they need to review the parts and also do the install to keep the warrenty. They also said they were more comfortable with the Rancho 4 than the procomp 6 (I dont know why?).
Eddy that's great news for you. I think the dealer I bought my car from also owns an aftermarket lift installlation company called TAG here in Oceanside, CA. I am sure that is why they stand by the warranty. I liked the looks of the Rancho 4 Kit. One of the reasons I liked the set up I have is that it takes advantage of the factory front colis/springs and maintains that nice "new" F150 feeling.
Good luck with the Rancho Kit!

One of my concerns after riding in my friends 03 150 with the Rancho kit was the ride. When I asked about this, I was told the ProComp Kit uses the factory front springs (ford apparently spent quite a bit of $$ improving the ride of the 04). I am not at all an authority. All i know is the ProComp kit provides an excellent ride. You might want to ask about the Rancho kit is you are concerned about ride quality.

Are you saying that the Rancho kit uses the stock Ford coilovers and springs up front with a spacer? Pro Comp does this also, but gives the option of upgrading to a replacement Pro Comp coilover.
wandell I don't know if the Rancho Kit does I'm saying that was a reason I purchased the 6" lift from ProComp. I don't know if Ranch does this and for the amount of REAL off-roading I do, I preferred going with a better ride.
