Has anyone installed a Retrax bed cover with a factory plastic bed liner? Did you have to cut part of it away?

Also, what are the shims for? I didn't have to use any of them, and don't know if anyone else did. Also, where are you suposed to put the foam weather strip?

thanks,
mikebaby

mikebaby,

I can't help you with the plastic bedliner question, but I can answer the others.

The shims are to be used, if necessary, to adjust the clamp positions so that you have the correct "side to side" play ( 1/8" I think) in the cover. I didn't need to use mine, either. It was a tight fit when I 1st installed the cover, and it loosened just a little bit with use.

The foam weather strip is supposed to go over the front bed rail. I'm not certain, but you may not be able to use it with a plastic bedliner.
