Prices for 4" or 5" Ford Step Bars

I'm looking at getting the Ford chrome step bars for my Scab. I'm thinking of going with these over Westin since they're bigger (the Westins are advertised at 3"). The price at Ford Accessory Store is $378 for 4" and $420 for 5", do these prices sound about right or can they be found cheaper? Thanks in advance.

Depending what mood they are in, you may be able to get them a little cheaper at the dealer. Other option is see if someone is selling theirs on Ebay.

I got the black 5" oval bars at cost from my father in law and they were $300. Seems like they should be cheaper. I don't really trust anybody atKemp Ford in TO so it's hard to say. It should have ordered them from the Lincoln dealer... Hopefully this gives you a price point to work from.

The Accessories guy at Liberty Ford in Cleveland, OH wanted $600 for the 5" chrome oval step bars. The parts guy gave them to me for $370 after I pointed out the price on fordaccessories.com. He wanted to make the sale so he knocked $50 off. He ordered them and I put them on same day. Also got the low profile bug deflector for $62

The 4" step bars are $350 here:

I printed the add and took it to my local dealer and got them for the same price.

These are my 4" Ford Step bars - part # 4L3Z16450LAD. I paid $302.95 at the parts department. I got a good deal and I like the bars themselves, but the brackets are absolute crap. More specifically, the paint job is crap. The rear ones started peeling within weeks and the front ones within about two months. They gave me four new brackets and we'll see how they hold up. I took the pic before all the paint flaked off, but take my word on it, ALL of it came off and in big chunks. The replacement brackets were shipped in a box from Dee Zee Inc., so I take it that's who's making them for Ford. I haven't been off road or driven in gravel, so I'll call it poor paint work. The bars look fine and have no chips.

Anyone else have bracket paint troubles?

New.......
