Is the F-150 going to make its 1 million sales goal?

Hello,

Ok, I saw the thread about the NIssan Titan tanking. I did a couple of test drives of it. At first it impressed me, but not enough to buy it. I honestly think that if they changed that goofy looking front end and made some improvements to the interior it would sell alot better.

I read that Ford wanted to sell 1 million of the new F-150s in 2004. I'm sure that is a very optimistic goal, but I have noticed that I'm seeing these trucks everywhere. How is it selling?

ford has sold around 950,000 units in prior F150 years and the one million goal for 2004 is well within range. unless there is a sudden parts supply (shortage) issue, or unless GM unleashes a huge price war, or another economic (9-11 type) event, i bet ford motor trucks achieves the one million target.

I read that in January, Ford sold 65,000 F150s. They'd have to make an average of 83,000 each month to do it. They might count the months in '03 that the '04 was for sale, and in that case I bet they reach their goal.
