capt.chairs vs.40/20/40

I found the truck 220 miles form my home town, went to pick it up.I asked how many miles ,they said 70..I said OK...and when I got there, looked at the ODO.....306 miles.

Well, now I found another truck with a reg. seat/no capt./.
Is this a big deal or those reg. chairs are comfy. /will travel long distances/. What do you guys think??

Thank you in advance,

Joe

The Regular 40/20/40 seats are identical to the Captains chairs. The only difference is the Captains chairs have the console on the middle. The 20 in the middle is really only suited for kids or dogs being that the back doesn't recline, but it is nice in a pinch to be able to seat 3 in the truck.

The 20 in the middle has the back fold down and there is cupholders and some storage in the center armrest for CD's and little stuff. When folded up, it is another seating area but it doesn't recline like the main seats.

I think that the 40/20/40 has much more room up front and the seats are very comfortable. Plus you can flip up the console if you need even more room. You can also get power with the 40/20/40 if you want it.

I have the 40/20/40 and I am 6'4" and it is nice to be able to open your legs and not push up against the center console but it is personal preference either way I love my new ford

Great, thank you all for your help. I am trying to build the truck from scratch since I have to order it. I wanted a new truck with no mileage on it/15 miles is OK/.Impossible to get around here.
50-300 miles is normal....!So,it has to be ordered.

If you have a special lady you don't mind sharing the middle seat on a long drive home after a wedding, I'd get the 40/20/40 if ya know what I mean.....That floor shifter tends to trip them up.

Super, I had the same thoughts when I bought my screw last month. The flow thru seemed way to sports car. I had that trapped confined feeling when I test drove the flow thru. I'm only 6'2" but I like to set the cruise control when I can and stretch alittle. I got a thread going regarding removing the center seat. I did that and am going to leave it like that until I get a center console installed. I went to the dealer trying to buy the XLT type but it was cost prohibitive, $1200.00. I bid on one at ebay and won but have not heard from the seller yet as to a delivery date. It's nice that they got smart and put the same seats in the bench option as the captains chair option.

This truck is the best.

..well,after many hours searching I found 2 trucks.
First is super cab...only 2 people and 2 big dogs will use this truck and I will need it occasionaly to take my ATV Grizzly 660 with me..........thats I thing the Supercab will be the best choice..???

Second one is a Supercrew......same price,shorter bed..but tempting.....
Now I don't know what to do.I never test drove supercrew, with 5.4 motor,is there any difference in a gas mileage.., will my ATV fit on the bed/or is there an aftermarket product I could use to extend the bed for my ATV, is supercrew noisier...Questions,questions...I was set for supercab and more I think about it , more troubles I am getting into....silly me.
You guys have much more experience with these issues, what do you think.

Thanks again,
Joe

What's the big whoopty do with the floor shifter? The shifter on the column works the same, it's just not on the floor. It's not like it's a manual tranny. Put it in "D" and go.

It looks cool when you open the door.

I think the Grizzly 660 is too long to fit in the Supercab with the tailgate shut (my Rincon is), so you'll have to leave the tailgate down with either the Supercrew or Supercab.

FWIW
