All Sales makes a billet locking gas door for about $100. I don't know about a gas cap though.

Locking Gas Cap

Parts Manager at my dealership told me, two weeks ago, that there is not yet a Ford branded locking gas cap for the '04 F-150. He also said that the one I have on my '99 F-150 most likely will not work right on my '04, though it may physically fit.

Bluerider,

Have you checked to see if it fits and/or works? Just out of curiosity!

I have not tried to use the older F-150 gas cap. I may try it this weekend. Dealer parts guy said that I may get "Check Engine Lights".

May be worth a try since gas prices are so high. If I have problems, I can take it off.

All the Lobos come with a locking gas cap. You might wanna see if your dealer can get you one.

Just a reminder to those replacing gas caps...make sure the replacement maintains the tank emissions seal (a negative pressure created as fuel is drawn down). If the replacement (or some careless attendant at the gas station) causes a loss of seal integrity, the 'check engine' light will appear (usually shortly after a fill-up and a few miles) and the dealer will be enriched $$ for correcting a simple mistake.

Stant, a major manufacturer of gas caps expects to have a locking one out in may for the 2004 F-150.
