Thumbs up Enthused with my dealership!

I took my F150 in this morning to have a tech look at the throttle delay and 40-60 mph minor vibration felt in the steering wheel.

I hope there isn't a rule about giving Kudos to a specific dealership, but I was treated so nicely I just had to share it. Freedom Ford in Norfolk VA.

I went for a drive with the tech, explaining what I was experiencing. Howard was polite and listened very intently to my explanation. He suggested force load balancing the tires, even though the road we were driving was too rough for him to feel the vibration I was explaining, and he told me there have been issues with the throttle body and PCM, so he'll try a new reflash that he just installed in the shop's system. I hope to get some more information on the reflash when I pick the truck up later today. If I get any more info I'll be sure to share it here.

I was given a '04 Taurus as a loaner, although the Focus is normally given. The Enterprise rental car rep said he gave me a free upgrade. (Wonder if that means he was out of Focuses)

I just wanted to pass along this very positive experience with the service folks at Freedom Ford. With all the negative threads, it's only fair to get some positive ones out there too!

I don't have the vibration problem but have read about it MANY times in a lot of forums. Many have tried what your dealer is saying and sad to say...it hasn't helped many. Good luck to you.

I know what you are saying. The vibration is so minor that I'm sure I could live with it the way it is now. I was more concerned with the throttle delay, since I nearly plowed into a car in front of me at an intersection. I hit the gas, nothing happened, so my foot went down farther. Then the truck really took off and I had to slam on the brakes in the middle of the intersection to keep from hitting the car in front of me. That's got me much more concerned than the minor vibration.

The real purpose of my post was to give credit to the dealership who have been very polite and helpful so far. You generally only hear the horror stories...

I bought my truck back in January from Tyler Ford. I had an awesome experience as well.

EVERYONE, at the dealership was great.

I think it would be awesome to set up a KUDOS thread.

I received a survey in the mail to "grade" my experience. I mailed it in with a perfect score.

When I went back for my first oil change...the service department was just as awesome.

I have been to a lot of dealerships in my life, but that experience was amazing.

KUDOS to Tyler Ford - Tyler Texas.
