Cool 4" vs. 5" chrome step bars??

Interested in feedback on the chrome step bars. I will be putting them on my 04 S'Crew Lariat.

Any major difference in the 4" and 5" models besides the obvious step width.

I've been quote $325 on the 4", and $375 on the 5" version.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm looking at Ford OEM step bars. I have looked at some aftermarkets, but prefer to keep it original. Dealer wanted way too much for them when I bought the truck. I knew they could be had for less.

Thumbs up

The 5" are a bit more oval. I went with the 5" after changing my mind last minute, and am glad I did. They give you a bit larger surface to step on, and I think they look a lot better :

Go with the 5's

I had the same decision to make a few months ago. I went with the 5's and am glad I did. I'm sure the 4's would be fine, but I like the wider step, the "beefier" look, and although I'm not 100% sure about this.........I think they likely extend a little more off the side of the truck and may help to minimize door dings. The only way anybody can "get me" now is if they have a condiderably higher vehicle than mine. So far so good.
