Wheel well trim

Has anyone installed the wheel well trim that is standard on the fx4? I own a white scab xlt. thinking black trim might look pretty good.

I have the trim sitting on the floor of my garage. It requires screw holes around the fender lip as well as drilling holes through the side of the truck fender. I'm probably going to sell it on E-Bay!

I bought my F-250 used and it has the chrome fender trim. It looks super nice and really dresses up the truck. I do hate how it holds in dirt and moisture and I hope it doens't hurt the paint. These require only holes drilled in the underside of the fender lip. I'm with Grim on this one... There is no way I would drill the side of my truck to install these. Then again, I don't even like for it to sit in direct sunlight.

Because I don't want to drill the holes in the side of the fender/truck bed that are required to mount it properly and I don't want to use 3m tape to stick them on!

Grim,
Sounds like good reasoning to me. It would be hard to talk myself into drilling holes in the side of my truck too. The 3M tape thing doesn't sound too good either.

Now I'm having 2nd thoughts about ordering those for myself.

Thanks for the info.

Did anybody put the FX4 Trim on or what? My father is thinking about doing to his XLT. Or is there better options for protecting the fender?

I have them, but I have an FX4. I plan on painting them DSG to match the lower trim.

Is there a difference between the Lariat fender flare and the FX4 fender flare? And if so, what is the difference?
