Have any of you with the Dark Toreador Red paint noticed that the fuel filler door is darker than the rest of the truck?? Mine looks like the black is bleeding through, and the door is a shade or two darker than the rest of the truck. What do you think, get the door repainted, of live with it???

I called the parts mgr today and he said a replacement door would have to be painted to match. I was sure hoping they came pre-painted and I could just order a new one.

 

I have not noticed that mine is or isn't. My gallery has some pictures of the side, and it doesn't appear to be a different color. I will check tomorrow morning (when it's daylight) and let you know if I see anything worth posting.

 

TUFF FORD, I took a look at your pics, and I don't see any difference in the color on you r fuel door.

I've got a crummy photo of the left side of my truck in the links in my signature below. You can get an idea of the color differences in the one photo.

I'm trying to ignore it. But, on the other hand, for the price of these things they should be flawless .

It started raining the day I brought the truck home. It rained off and on for 2 weeks, so it was dirty all that time. We finally got a nice weekend about 3-4 weeks ago, so I cleaned it up to take some pictures. I kept trying to tell myself that it was no big deal, but the more I see it, the more it bugs me.
