Question Valve Clatter

I have an 04 FX4 Screw, and when I'm going up hill's in the low RPM range I get some real serious valve clatter. Has anyone else experienced this problem. I'm going to have the dealer check it out, but before I went in I'd like to gather some information from others who might be experiencing the same.

Thanks,

Michael

Your low rpm scenario sounds more like an engine timing/fuel issue instead of 'engine knock'...unless you're out of oil.

no.... it's definitely valve clatter. The only way to make it go away is to give it more gas forcing the tranny to downshift. It's like the tranny isn't downshifting early enough and it's bogging the motor too much. Very strange. Sounds like I'm going to drive a valve right into the piston... and we all know how quiet the 04's are...
