Job 1 vs. Job 2

I've been reading threads that refer to Job 2 vehicles, and I assume it's meant to be a second run of trucks that would have all of the current updates and modifications in the build. My question is how I find out if I have a Job 1 or a Job 2 vehicle. Is it on the window sticker or on the door plate anywhere, or does it go by the build date of the truck?

Thanks for your replies...

Jeff

It's my understanding, that the first half of the production run is Job 1. After the first of the calendar year, when production resumes, Job 2 begins. Someone please correct me if this is not the case.

It's not the second half of the calendar year, but the second half of the production year. You should be able to do a search for it, but I think Job 2 trucks were built starting in February. I know mine is a Job 2 because I ordered mine and it says "JOB #2" on the order sheet.

Check the window sticker of the truck. If it is a job 2 truck it will say so. Mine was built 01-05-04 and it is a job 2 truck.

As for the updates I'm not sure. All I know is that I'm happy with my truck and the only problem I have had was a noisy belt that some belt dressing fixed. Hope that helps.

I've got a job#2 truck and IMO the much talked about "throtle lag" due to drive by wire seems to be MUCH better. I test drove 3 Job#1 trucks and did notice the throttle lag. However this is just my opinion. Also do date with 200 miles I've not experianced any vibrations on my truck other than what I consider normal due to various road surfaces.

Well, my truck was delivered the beginning of March, so I would assume it is a Job #2 vehicle. Sorry to say, though, that I am experiencing the Rear End Shudder, Brake Squeal, and Rear Door Lock problems that have been the topics of discussion in this forum. I drive quite a bit for work, and I have 2500 miles on it already, so I'm due for the first oil change in about a week or so. I'll have the dealer look at these items then and hope for the best.

Thanks much for all of the replies.
