Vibration limited to SuperCrews????
A thread on the the FTE board intimates that the vibration problems between 45 and 60 mph are only occuring on the SuperCrews, is this correct?
Are any of you SuperCab or regular cab owners having this same problem with your trucks?

From what I have read on both sites, there are no common links to the vibration problem. 4x4, 4x2, 3.55, 3.73, LS, no LS, Screw, Scab. People have been trying to find something common so a solution can be found, but nothing common yet. Luckily I don't have any vibration. Built 10/03 in Kansas City.
Absolutely no problems with mine. No squeaks, rattles, bouncing beds, shakes, shudders, vibrations. Nothing. Smooth as silk across all RPMs & speeds.

Appreciate the responses, here is the tally so far....
Reg. Cab. 1
SuperCab 5
SuperCrew 2
All reporting zero problems. I was hoping for find out how many of those WITH vibration problems were SuperCrew owners, but this is interesting none the less.
Dgdee.....Appreciate your insight, I should have known my brethren on this board have researched cab and drivetrain configurations in hopes of finding a common thread.
SonnyXLT....How is Shreveport? Are the casinos surviving without any recent financial contributions from me? The Hollywood has been my favorite since it opened.

My wifes 03 explorer has a vibration or loud hum between 40 and 60 mph at 61 its gone. One thing I did notice, if you let off the gas its gone. It only happens under acceleration. Is this the same with the F150. At first I thought it was the tires but now I know it isn't and will be going to the dealer soon.
hate to spoil a perfect "non vibration" record.... it's not my imagination.
FX4 Scab vibration 50-65 mph.... this section of TSB 04-3-3 describes it perfectly.....

ISSUE:
Some 2004 F-150 vehicles may exhibit a vibration at highway speeds. The vibrations will typically be felt through the seat and/or floorpan.......
FIRST ORDER DRIVELINE VIBRATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 30-40 HZ, 64-97 KM/H (40-60 MPH)
Drive Vehicle at speed where 1st Order Driveline Vibration is most pronounced, typically 64-97 km/h (40-60 MPH).
Once peak vehicle vibration is reached place transmission into neutral.
If the vibration remains with transmission in neutral, the source is most likely the driveshaft. Replace the driveshaft and re-evaluate.
If the vibration is eliminated, the source of vibration is either transmission or rear axle related. Proceed to Step 3.
NOTE: IF POSSIBLE, PERFORM STEPS 3 & 4 WHILE GOING UP A SLIGHT GRADE TO INCREASE LOAD ON ENGINE.
Achieve peak vehicle vibration and set vehicle Speed Control.
Unlock transmission torque converter by hitting overdrive cancel button.
If vibration remains with transmission torque converter unlocked, source of vibration is most likely the rear axle. Replace rear axle and re-evaluate.
If the vibration is eliminated, the source of the vibration is most likely transmission related. Refer to the Workshop Manual Section 307-01, Diagnosis By Symptom, Other Concerns: Noise/Vibration in Forward or Reverse for continued diagnosis. Repair as required and re-evaluate.

My XLT/4X4/Screw has the vibe/buzz at c. 1500 rpm that goes away in neutral, indicating a rear axle/tranny issue according to the TSB. I'm wondering if it will deteriorate with additional mileage...will have to get serviced prior to warranty expiration.
The vibration with mine used to peak at 46-48 mph. Several weeks ago they added some shims to the driveshaft and now it peaks at 42-44 and 50 - 54. Then they added the dampening kit which did nothing for the vibrations.
