I've got the OEM extender on my '01 Gen 3 Supercrew and I love it. Really comes in hand. Probably use it more for keeping items (like gas tanks for my small fishing boat) from flying around the bed than as an extender. It's $150. as an option and about double that from the dealer afterward. I think it's one of those few accessories that's higher quality from Ford than other brands in the aftermarket.

ANybody got a bed extender and using a retrax or lock and roll cover?

I've got a Retrax. The bed extender works fine with it.
