Pics of my 04 Lariat with JL audio

Hey everyone,
I've had my truck for about 2 months now and just got around to taking some pics. The truck was purchased through Military car sales while I was in Okinawa Japan, and delivered to Hawaii. I'm soon on my way to the high desert of California, the thought of leaving my truck to be shipped across the ocean is killing me.
Anyway, This is the sweetest truck ever. I still want to make a few changes (wheels, lowering, tonneau and something needs to be done about the wood dash.)
Here is a link to my Gallery.

Take care,
Jim

Yes, very awesome grill. Seems to have the emblem on top of the grill instead of having to break the billet bars around it like the Carriage Works.

Have to know what it is!

jimbo,

I like the grill too, but it's that sub/amp enclosure that I'm really impressed with.

I'm a bit of a cabinet builder myself and I can appreciate the effort that went into that project. It really paid off for you - It looks great! I'm also a JL fan and will be upgrading the system in my Lariat in the future. The sub and amp locations seem to be a bit more challenging in the '04 than in previous years. I had a 10" center console Stealthbox from JL in my last truck but the '04 has a much smaller console and I don't see anything fitting in there. Your box is the obvious way to go, but I'm wondering whether the 8's will do the job. How's that working out for you?

Guys,
Thanks.....the grill is a Carriage works replacement, I just put the stock oval on top with 3m, 2 sided sticky tape for autos.

Clem, the system sounds incredible. It's obviously not gonna' shake windows in the neighborhood, but in the truck it's awsome, clean and tight.
I was concerned but it would have been damn near impossible to put a quality 10 in there in a proper enclosure. The box is matched perfectly to the sub, I always get close, but this time I made it perfect. even subtracted the displacement of the driver itself. I e-mailed JL and they have a stealthbox under developement for our truck, no details as far as size or location. I hope it is a 10 in the console so I can use the whole back seat for an amp rack.

SMCFX4, Sweet deuce as well..

Later,
Jim

That box looks great. Good job on the carpet too. I went with 2 8s also. They sound great. More than enough for me. My box is in my gallery. I am putting the finish on tonight. Should have pic. up tomorrow.
Congrads on your clean install!

Great looking truck. Seems we have a lot in common. I have
a black Lariat Screw and a black anniversary edition Harley
Fatboy. I'm looking to upgrade my sounds also, however;
I don't think I'll tackle that project myself. I'll have someone
else do it while I take a cruise on my bike. Enjoy your new
truck. It looks awsome.
