Exclamation Kansas Plant rail car shortage!

For those of us in the final stages of getting those truck shipped from the plant, looks like we maybe waiting longer!

Yes, it is official. I spoke with the VOPC today and there is a shortage of rail road cars at the Kansas Plant.

Ford is keeping the lid on the train de-raiment in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. 13 rail cars from Kansas Plant were involved.
Several new vehicles were destroyed..... Due to flooding and washed out train tracks.

I am thinking this maybe planning a role in the holdups!

I have been waiting 4 long months for my FX4.

Sorry to be the barer of bad news....

13 Auto carriers is like 13 pennys to a class I railroad, I doubt that will cause any delays.

Building and shipping are two different things....

...so could we still say the VOPC was right by telling me to expect a delay due to a shortage of rail cars... ?

Regardless of those 13 lost...

Yes, there could be a shortage of rail cars due to other locations, manufacturers, and other Ford plants. But the biggest customers get the cars they ask for, when they ask for them.

shipping

Yes I have to agree that building and shipping are 2 different things. But what do you suppose happens once they are built. There is only so much space for them to sit and await shipping. Once that space runs out and there is no where else to park them there is a problem.

All I am saying is that if we aren't shipping any, we have to stop building at a point and we have not stopped building them.

I will definitely let you know if and when we stop building them.

So are you saying that...

Kansas Ford Plant is the "big daddy customer" and the railroad will get those rail cars to them without delay....

Or...

"Big daddy dealerships" get there cars when they want them without delay.....

Just so you know the plant is in Kansas City Missouri, not in Kansas. Sorry just grew up there and have friends that work there and want them to get the credit they deserve on building such a great vehicle.

I am saying the biggest Railroad customers get the rail cars they request, when they need them. If we don't move products we don't get paid.

Kansas CITY!

Funny how leaving CITY off the end there makes all the difference!

I thought it goes without saying those folks in Kansas CITY do a wonderful job! Or we all wouldn't be buying and driving those kick a** trucks.

Nice install guide, by the way!
