Shocks

Hi again,
I bought the Lariat because I liked it better than the FX4, but the ride is too soft. Want to change the shocks. Any body know if the shocks are to only difference between the Lariat and the FX4? I think I read someone say that the FX4 had Rancho 5000s. Anybody have experience with other shocks on the truck? I want a firmer, better handling ride. Not interested in spinal compression or dental work . Any tips greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Arthur

Everyone will have their own opinion on which shock is best. There are a lot of good shocks on the market, I would suggest that you not skimp in this department. Go for the upper line of shocks in whatever you decide. Rancho, Bilstein, Edelbrock, Trailmaster and Pro Comp just to name a few, all make a quality product. If you want an opinion, personally, I like the Bilstein and the Edelbrock.

Bilstein!

I change the OEM schocks from my Chevy at 40K, now at 150K I still have the same bilsteins, firm and very reliable.
